About

“Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all  your soul, and all your strength.  And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when  you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear  them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. " - Deuteronomy 6:4-9
It has been said and felt by many a Christian: Home is the hardest place to live out your faith!
And yet, in the days that are before us home is where it’s at!

Home is my mission field. Home is my “neighbor” Home is where God wants me to grow.

Martin Luther was a monk for many years, but during the Reformation he did get married. I love what he wrote, “Marriage is a better school for the character than any monastery,” he observed, “for it is here that your corners are rubbed off.”

Let’s embrace this season for His glory. Rather than just let these times “happen” let’s be proactive and intentional.

Here are ways we want to encourage us as a church @ home:

1. Daily Devotionals.
Everyday we are going to send out and post a devotional for you and your family to read over  with some discussion questions (you can create your own if you’d rather.)

2. Sundays.
Church time! Join us for our regular Bible study @10 am.  It will be live-streamed each Sunday! If you miss the service, you will be able to watch or listen to it later.

3. Wednesdays.
Pastor Mike will do a Facebook live each Wednesday night at 7pm. Check out the Calvary Chapel Facebook page to watch live or watch later. Whether it be an interview, discussion group or hosting a live LIVE Q & A on Facebook to talk about issues relevant to that week’s message as well as to pray for those in need. If you can’t watch it live don’t worry. It’ll be available on our Facebook page.

4. Thursdays.
We are going to schedule a Zoom call each Thursday night at 7pm for people to connect, see each other, share and pray. together.  We will send out the details each week!

5. Fridays
We will be posting new content in Kids Resources each Friday so that those of you at home, can do a Children's ministry lesson with your kiddos each weekend.

Beyond that, we at Calvary Chapel Red Wing, want you to know that we are praying for you and are available to you. If you need any assistance please let us know and we will do our best.

And let’s not forget: Home is when, it is where and it is towards those I choose to love for God’s glory. We might be @ home but let’s spread the “heart of home” to others too.

This is a great opportunity for all of us to re-connect with the Lord and our families and to be salt and light to those around us! Let's not waste it...

God bless you!

In His Grace,
